His journey in education took him to the western cities of Turkey, where he completed his primary, middle, and high school education. It was during this time that he first encountered the evocative tones of traditional Turkish music.
In 2010, Yeser graduated as a Turkologist from the Department of Turkish Language and Literature at a university in Mardin, a city renowned for its traditional architecture and historical cultural diversity. His academic pursuits did not end there; he is currently a master’s student in the Folklore Studies department at the 100th Year University.
Yeser’s musical and literary interests are diverse and expansive. He has a particular affinity for the kemençe (ribab), saz, and the dengbêj tradition. Inspired by the sounds of globally acclaimed artists such as Tom Waits, Leonard Cohen, and Bob Dylan, Yeser seeks to create new narratives and music within the dengbêj tradition.
